Waka Flocka - O Lets Do It

I like hip hop dubstep remixes because essentially they are just hip hop with more of everything.
I'm not a fan of ATL rap in general, but Flocka's verses are perfect for this kind of beat.

Da Graveyard

I've had this album for a long time, but only heard this song recently.

This song blew my mind. The classic boom-bap new york beat, Big L, Lord Finesse, and f*ckin' Jigga before anyone knew who he was. Everyone's verse is classic, and if your head doesn't nod to this you don't like hip hop.

Someone needs to bring this type of hip hop back.

Arena jams you should know

If you listen to house music you know that some jams are 'bigger' than others.

In my opinion the biggest producers out right now are also the most popular:

Swedish House Mafia, Avicii, and Chuckie.

These guys consistently make larger-than-life tracks; listen to these loud...

I like how this remix adds a second drop and some groove to Leave the World Behind, it was exactly what the original was missing:

Here's their newest release too: epic.

Honestly, you have heard this song before if you have been to a club, but here it is.

More soon!

Sexy Vocals

I'm usually not a huge fan of having vocals of any kind on a track, but I can't ignore the vocal hooks people have been turning out recently. Nothing kills it more than a sexy female vocalist.

To prove this point here are some of my recent favorites:

Hyper Crush - Ayo (Disco Fries Remix)

This song is hard-as-f*ck. Gotta love that half-time breakdown.

On the other end of the spectrum is Laidback Luke's remix of 'Dirty Talk' by Wynter Gordon (feat. David Guetta).

Laidback Luke nails it with some intense side-chaining and chopped-up vocals.

I'm of the opinion that all of Inna's songs sound the same, but that may not be such a bad thing.

Plus, she is pretty hot.

'Love' is probably her most catchy hook so that is what I am featuring here, but other worthy mentions are 'Hot' and 'Deja Vu'.

Deja Vu (Don't you love video chicks?): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zr_c5rqvSg4

Enjoy.

First Post

As some people may know, I collect music and follow several genres religiously. As I have been playing out more and exposing people to my music taste, I have been getting a lot of questions like 'where do you find your music?' and 'can you send me some dope songs?'. This blog is meant to answer both of those questions.

Basically, I get my music from a combination of blogs, friends, DJs, radio shows, and chance.

What I'm going to do for the people who want to follow my music tastes is post songs here that I stumble upon, and also throw up some oldies-but-goodies that I have sitting on my hard drive.

In doing this I will try not to be a dick and rip off other blogs' posts, so I will give credit where credit is due... but if you find that following 10 blogs doesn't suit you I suggest you just tune in here once in a while for some fresh music.
